Tonight at 7:00 PM candidates will be available to answer questions at the Southwest Conservation Club at 5703 Bluffton Rd. Tom Hayhurst will be there, but Mark Souder has declined to show and will not be sending anyone in his place. I will be there to say a few words and answer questions.

I’m William Larsen, a Candidate for Indiana's 3rd District U.S. Representative. I’m a navy veteran, engineer, husband and father of five children. I want to restore the American Dream, where in a land of opportunity an individual can work hard and prosper.
I grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Paul Harding High School in 1975. I am in scouting and earned my eagle rank in 1972. I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1977 and attained the rank of machinist mate 2nd class. I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and attended Purdue University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While in college I met my wife, Lenore. We have five children. I have worked for companies dealing with components for the U.S. Nuclear Navy and high level waste to filtration products. I solve problems for a living. The key to good problem solving is to identify the root cause. Unless the root cause is identified, no problem will ever be solved. Does the City of Fort Wayne have problems?

The first thing I thought when I read this was, "maybe it's because Souder is in DC for session". But they are on recess now, so you may expect for him to attend these.
He is busy though, and probably doesn't want to mess with someone's candidate forum, since these forum's are mostly attended by liberals.
Surprisingly, there are 4 Democrats who are running, expecting to win by taking advantage of the problems in the White House, rather than discussing real, practical issues that effect the 3rd district. Sorry Dr., free health care for all is not going to sell well in this conservative area. Massachussetts or France would be good places to run for public office, if winning means anything to you.
